Jack’s Mannequin “People & Things”

Jack’s Mannequin, formed in 2004, was originally based in Orange County, Calif. This American rock band began as a side project of Andrew McMahon. Something Corporate’s frontman). McMahon was diagnosed with leukemia just before the release of Jack’s Mannequin’s debut album in 2005. The debut album gained full recognition at the same that McMahon made a full recovery. Jack’s Mannequin’s sound relies on the piano blending smoothly with the rest of the instruments. “People & Things” is their third studio album and was recorded in Santa Monica, Calif. Jack’s Mannequin is currently touring the states with MCS and Company of Thieves. The group began their tour on the East Coast and plans to complete their tour on the West Coast.

Mutemath “Odd Soul”

This American rock band hails from New Orleans and has been on the music scene since 2003. Mutemath originally was a long-distance collaboration between Paul Meany (vocals and keyboard) and Darren King (drums). After two years moving between Louisiana and Missouri, the duo recruited guitarist Greg Hill and an entirely new musical collection was created. Mutemath has made appearances on several shows: The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, and The Late Show with David Letterman. “Odd Soul” is Mutemath’s third album. Mutemath is currently on their The Odd Soul Introduction Tour.

Björk “Biophilia”

Björk Guðmundsdóttir, or simply better known as Björk, is an Icelandic singer-songwriter. Her eclectic musical style has gained her popular acknowledgment and popularity among fans of many musical genres such as electronica, folk, jazz, and rock. Björk is a “robusto” soprano and is capable of covering three octaves. Her lyrical themes have a wide range, covering scientific and social matters. “Biophilia” is her eighth full-length studio album. It will be the world’s “first app album” in collaboration with Apple. Björk has said that the album is about “zooming out, like the planets, but also zooming into the atoms.”

Ryan Adams “Ashes & Fire”

Ryan Adams is an American alternative country/rock singer-songwriter, poet, and painter from Jacksonville, North Carolina. Originally a part of the band Whiskeytown, Adams left the band to release his first solo album and successfully went on to create twelve more. “Ashes & Fire” is his thirteenth studio album and is to be released by Capitol Records. Fellow singer-songwriter, Norah Jones, will be featured on the record. Ryan Adams is currently on a sold out tour in the states before flying over to Europe for further promotion.
