COD Dramatic Arts Students presents “The Madcap Underground” comedy show

College of the Desert’s (COD) Dramatic Arts Company presents “The Madcap Underground” comedy show held on May 10 and 11, 2013 on campus at the Polluck Theatre. The Madcap Underground is a comedy show consisting of enthusiastic,  fired-up, first hand sketch comedy featuring a cast of COD students from the Coachella Valley.

Out of the 47 people that auditioned to be a part of the show only 20 were selected. The cast is composed of the following COD students; Megan Camacho, Ivan Ortega, Johnny Bolth, Miranda Hane, Liridona Leti, Ramon Martinez, Teagan Lugo, Anthony Gomez, Nina Charming, Ashton Loyo, Hannah Seal, Renee Bourgeau, Diana Valle, Leah Juarez, Brando Nunez, Florentino Carrillo, Claudia Gomez, Briana Taylor, Todd Silverberg and Dylan Low.

“Chicago has Second City.  New York has Saturday Night Live.  Los Angeles has The Groundlings. The desert has The Madcap Underground,” says Co-Writer, Co-Director and assistant professor of Theater, Russell “Tres” Dean.

Do not miss out, buy your tickets ahead of time at the Social Science and Arts building on campus. Ticket prices for COD students are $5 and $10 for general admission.
