MESA Science Day

By Avery Wood

MESA Science Day, hosted in the MESA center for the fifth graders of Lincoln Elementary School, was a success. Many members of MESA showed up to show children exciting experiments. According to participants, over a hundred children came and most were excited about the experiments. At the biology presentation booth, the children were allowed to make their own slides and look at them through a microscope.  The success of the Science Day had inspired talk of doing one next semester, possibly involving even more kids. There are even some plans to take the presentations mobile, using vans to transport the materials needed to schools in the valley.
