Student Art Exhibition

The Marks Art Center will hold its Annual COD Student Scholarship Exhibition, starting Monday, April 21, to celebrate the work of COD students receiving art scholarships.

The exhibition will run Monday, April 21 through Thursday May, 15 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Marks Art Center Gallery Assistant Krystal Glasman said, “as always, the exhibition will be open to the public and free to attend. There will be paintings, photographs, and prints.”

The featured students are Rossy Nayotl, Hiram Guerra, Dominic Serna, Salle Kirby, Cristian Cabrera, Daniel Gallegos-Sanchez, Barbara Downs, Debra Rapp, and Virginia Santillanes. Each student is receiving the Dumont Foundation Scholarship, Nancy H. Bacon Art Scholarship, Alex and Lila Dare Visual Art Scholarship, or Joyce Norton Art Scholarship.

The Marks Art Center will hold an Artists’ Reception Thursday,  April 24 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Also free and open to the public, this reception will include entertainment by DJ Alf Alpha and a Do It Yourself craft table provided by the Coachella Valley Art Scene.
