Ever wanted to expand horizons or just discover new cultures and lifestyles? If that is a yes, then head to the international desk on the second floor of the Cravens Center and check out College of the Desert’s (COD) association with AIFS (American Institute for Foreign Study).

AIFS is a program that offers the opportunity to Southern California students to study overseas for an entire semester through Citrus College in Glendora, Calif. They offer an opportunity to explore London during the fall semester and Spain during the spring semester.

AIFS works with financial aid as well as with many other scholarships. Marlene Martinez, a student that studied in Salamanca, Spain for the spring semester of 2015 stated, “There is no better way to expand your knowledge and your horizons, then studying abroad. Getting educated overseas just shows you overall the beauty that the world has to offer.”

If interested in finding out more about the opportunities and benefits of AIFS, during the month of April, information will be coming in on how to apply for Barcelona, Spain for the  Spring semester of 2017. Keep an eye out and take advantage of the amazing opportunities that are offered.
