The Public Safety Department at College of the Desert is open twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and is ready to protect and serve the student body, faculty, staff, and administration.
According to the College of the Desert website, officers patrol the campus routinely to ensure a safe and secure environment. The officers are non-sworn and unarmed, however, they go through regular training exercises such as: dealing with vandalism, sexual harassment, and active shooters on campus. If a student would like to contact the Public Safety Department or report a crime that has been committed on campus, they can call at (760) 341-2111.
Besides protecting the campus, the public safety office is also used as a Lost and Found. Students who lose items or would like to report a missing item should contact the Public Safety Department at (760) 341-2111 or go to the office, which is in South Annex, room 16 between the Cravens Student Center and the McCallum Theatre.
