Starting Fall 2017, there will be a new accounting class offered at COD. The class is called Accounting for Non-Accountants. The course is a 3 unit certificate course and will be offered at the Palm Desert campus on Monday and Wednesday mornings and the Indio campus on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Both Professor Kingsbury and Rescigno will be teaching the course to students interested in entrepreneurship or in-charge bookkeeping. The course will cover creating financial and operational controls to enhance comprehension of business finance and, of course, profitability.
Some of the information covered will be internal controls for cash and inventory, determining relevant pricing, reading financial statements, break even sales, creating a budget, and other essential accounting principles.
The course code is BUAC 51-0830. For more information you may contact Professor Kingsbury at firstname.lastname@example.org or Professor Rescigno at email@example.com.
