As COD seniors prepare for graduation, 20-year-old Juan Miranda wrapped up his last soccer season as a Roadrunner with the title captain of the team during the 2016 season and was nominated for the All Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.

Miranda will be receiving his associate’s degree in business administration and management. Miranda ended his last semester with a grade point average of 3.48, was on the Dean’s List for the past two years and participated in an on-campus entrepreneurship project where he generated $48,000 revenue and donated $9,000 in scholarships to the college. Miranda, is also a student worker at the COD Foundation.

Miranda has been accepted and plans on transferring to Cal State Long Beach. He was also accepted at Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Los Angeles and Cal Poly Pomona.

Miranda has good memories at COD, “My favorite memory about a game that I played here was against Rio Hondo College. The game was very hard, they had a very good team and they scored 3 goals on us during the first half. When it was over, the players were laughing in our face and saying that we were bad players. Then during the second half we scored 3 goals on them, the game ended 3 – 3 and they were out of the playoffs!”
