The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is just around the corner, and while you may not have your tickets yet, it is never too early to start thinking about your Coachella outfits.

The pressure of looking good at Coachella is one of the highest among many festivals. People from across the country and even across the oceans go all out with face paint, glitter, fishnets, bandanas and the craziest hairstyles. And then there is of course the celebrities who try out a different look everyday and motivate others to look their best.

So if you already have your ticket or while you are trying to get a hold of those local tickets, here are some well-expected Coachella fashion trends.

Street-wear has definitely been a big part in today’s fashion industry. Chunky sneakers, track pants with snaps on the side, oversized tees and army print clothing may be the best ways to go if you want to look stylish and be comfortable at the same time. This year, you can trade in the fringed boots and gladiator sandals for a pair of chunky dad-chic sneakers.

COD student Crystal Winston has been to Coachella Fest three years in a row and is now planning out her 4th year looks. Her personal fashion inspiration is Kylie Jenner. “I personally like Kylie Jenner’s outgoing style. From rainbow colored hair to a sequin outfit, she always brings something new and pulls it off,” she says. When asked what is an absolute no-go when it comes to outfits, Winston says guys could put in a bit more effort. “A hoodie and sweats, but even that has been something I have seen a picture or two of in the past,” thus Winston.

Space buns have been a must for many Coachella goers. Despite seeing them year after year, it is safe to say that people are still not over them. The space bun trend is a returning hairstyle that we don’t only see at Coachella, but almost any festival across the world. All you have to do is split your hair in two equal parts and put each part up in a bun. To add a little extra spark, you can dress it up by wearing a headpiece, hair spray or adding glitters.

Besides clothing, accessories are definitely a big trend at Coachella Fest. This year, the small sunglasses have dominated our social medias, so it would not be surprising to see them back at Coachella fest. They are unisex and they have even made it to past fashion weeks. These 90’s sunglasses are tiny, but surely make their way to stand out.

However you choose to dress at Coachella, nothing is out of the ordinary. Festivals are the place to go all out and express your personality into your style. There is nothing too weird, as long as you feel good in what you wear.
