Women’s golf finishes 2nd in impressive state finals run

After what was a dominant fall season of tournament action, your COD Roadrunners finished strong, grabbing a 2nd place finish in the CCCAA State Finals. The team sent all six participants to play in the state finals, finishing with two golfers in the top 10. COD impressed, earning 633 points over the two-day contest, only 18 strokes behind first-place finisher, College of the Canyons.

Sophomore phenom Zoe Walker, who leads the team in points all season, would finish 5th in the individual state rankings. Walker shot four over 76 on day one and one over 73 on day two for a total of 149 over the course of the two-day event.

Not far behind was freshman standout Dagmar Urbankova who earned a 10th place finish in the individual state rankings. Urbankova, who is from the Czech Republic, shot a seven-over 79 on day one and a four over 76 on day two, totaling 155 for the event.
