The Chaparral staff share their favorite holiday movie

Every year the holidays bring special memories, and, often a sense of nostalgia that helps us all feel connected. Traditions and ways of celebrating can vary but one thing that seems to unite us all is the magic of Hollywood. There are so many great holiday movies out now we thought we’d share some of our favorites.

Favorite Movie: Polar Express
Why: “When I was little in second grade I went to see it in 3 D and I have so many wonderful memories of it.”

Why: “When they do the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland at Christmas it’s my favorite and I love Tim Burton.”

Favorite Movie: Elf
Why: “The best Christmas movie brings you the most cheer and joy the end scene is unbelievable¬†with Santa flying through Times Square in New York City. It’s a movie that brings all the children together and I think it is quite hilarious.”

Favorite Movie: How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Why: “It’s really funny with Jim Carey in it and it is very relatable to many teenagers nowadays.”

Favorite Movie: Home Alone
Why: “I’ve seen it every Christmas since I was a little kid and it is just a staple of the holidays for me.”

Favorite Movie: Nightmare before Christmas

Why: “It combines both of my favorite holidays and because of Jack Skellington.”

Favorite Movie: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer
Why: “It’s a classic and it’s on the television every year and you haven’t seen it you are missing out.”

Favorite Movie: Christmas Vacation
Why: “It’s kind of like a throwback I used to watch it with my parents growing up and now its one of my favorites. It’s super funny.”
