A Toast to Tap Water is a celebratory event by the CVWD to commence a national Drinking Water Week campaign which is held May 4 through 10. Students are asked for a painting or drawing with a theme of saving water, our most valuable resource. Prizes for the artwork will be awarded at 10 a.m. to the best within the grades of K through 3, 4 through 6, and 7 through 12. The winners artwork will be published in The Water Wheel the CVWD’s newsletter for educators.
Drinking Water Week, a national campaign designed to raise awareness about the benefits of tap water is celebrated the first full week of May each year. The American Water Works Association has emphasized the value of water with its members and their communities for 35 years, while continuing to encourage others to introduce the idea into their own community. The CVWD continues to honor this message with annual events honoring tap water in its community.
A Toast to Tap Water will be located at Steve Robbins Administration Building 75515 Hovley Lane East, Palm Desert, CA 92211
