Fenty Beauty is a big success

Famous singer Rihanna has taken a different turn in her career and brought out her very first makeup line (Fenty Beauty) on Sept. 8. The line contains 15 different products and is exclusively available at Sephora.

Fenty Beauty has been extremely trendy. Sephora sells more Fenty Beauty products than other brands and sells out constantly. Ashley Elisarraras, a sales advisor at Sephora, says that highlighter Trophy Wife is their number 1 sold product. “After the highlighter, the foundation is definitely the most popular product,” she says.

Rihanna claims that Fenty Beauty is a brand for everyone and most could not agree more. “The last time a product sold out this much was the Urban Decay foundation one year ago.  We did not expect to sell out of everything so quick. There are so many different shades, even in the highlighters. The universal lip gloss is actually universal. It has a fine glitter in it and it is so thick and really looks good on every skin tone. Fenty Beauty really is a brand for everybody,” thus Elisarraras, sales advisor at Sephora.

Rihanna brought out 40 shades of foundation making Fenty Beauty one of the only beauty products with that many shades. COD student Anayeli Hernandez is also a fan of the new makeup line. “I love the foundation, because it goes on smoothly and covers up pores and you don’t need to set it with powder,” says Hernandez. “The matchsticks do disappear after a couple hours, but that might be due to my oily skin,” she continues.

Fenty Beauty has only been in stores for a month, but has already topped bigger brands. The beauty line is definitely not coming to an end soon because Rihanna recently announced a new holiday collection, named Galaxy.  From the looks of it, the collection contains an eye-shadow palette complete with 14 shades, lipsticks, glosses and  a liquid eyeliner.

The ‘Galaxy’ holiday collection will be available in stores on Oct. 13.
